At a recent Broward School Board Meeting, a frustrated mom suggested boycotting the FCAT -- a great idea -- but it would cost each school a ton of money.

We suggested a Dump The FCAT Campaign, and quickly got parents, teachers and principals interested.

We are dead serious -- the FCAT Culture is counter productive to students, teachers and almost everyone involved.

Our names are Mira and Mark Halpert -- Mark is a parent, an educator and involved in the world of Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia and ADHD (I am presently the President of the Learning Disabilities Association of Florida, and on several other boards).

Mira is a parent, an educator and developer of the 3D Learner Program (R).

This initiative is separate from all other endeavors.

We realize that we must find a way to replace the FCAT with a better test and culture -- and want to have other fellow revolutionaries join to formulate a specific approach.

We've gotten 45 signatures without really trying and would love to present Governor Crist with 10,000 or better yet 100,000 signatures of people who do not want our kids to get sick, our teachers to hate teaching and want to replace the FCAT Culture with a better system
